Sydney Freeman -- Central Noble Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2025

This coming Friday, February 14th, 2025, Central Noble will be officially honoring Sydney Freeman into its Athletic Hall of Fame at halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game with Lakeland. Freeman’s dominance on the court and versatility in athletics have solidified her place among the school’s all-time greats. Basketball Legacy A key contributor to Central Noble’s success, Freeman helped lead the basketball team to a remarkable 95-16 career record. She played an instrumental role in capturing three NECC Tournament Championships (2016, 2017, 2019), one NECC Regular Season title (2019), and three consecutive IHSAA Sectional and Regional Championships (2017-2019). In 2018, she guided the team to both a Semi-State and State Championship victory, etching her name in program history. Freeman’s individual accolades are equally impressive. She was a four-time varsity letter winner (2016-2019), earning All-NECC honors every year. She was named KPC Prep of the Year three times, selected for the IBCA Supreme 15, and recognized as an Indiana All-Star in 2019. Additionally, she was a McDonald’s All-American Nominee and participated in the Nancy Rehm All-Star Game, North/South Indiana All-Star Classic, and the Hoosier Gym All-Star Game. Record-Setting Career Freeman rewrote Central Noble’s record books, finishing with several school and state rankings: Career Records: 1,741 points (Girls All-time Leader) 208 three-pointers 576 assists (#9 in IHSAA history) 553 steals (#2 in IHSAA history) 170 blocked shots Season Records: 512 points, 72 three-pointers, 163 assists 162 steals (T-#7 in IHSAA history), 58 blocked shots Game Records: 38 points, 9 three-pointers, 11 assists 14 steals (T-#10 in IHSAA history) Multi-Sport Excellence Beyond basketball, Freeman was a varsity letter winner in four additional sports, showcasing her athletic versatility. She competed in soccer, track & field, Unified flag football, and cross country, earning All-NECC honors in cross country. A Lasting Impact Sydney Freeman’s remarkable career at Central Noble has left an enduring legacy. Her leadership, skill, and dedication have inspired future generations of athletes. As she takes her place in the Athletic Hall of Fame, the Central Noble community celebrates her achievements and the impact she made on the school’s athletic program.
