Central Noble Jr-Sr High School

This coming Friday, February 14th, 2025, Central Noble will be inducting one of its most accomplished multi-sport athletes, 2004 CN Graduate Jeremy Baker, into the school's Central Noble Athletic Hall of Fame. A dominant force on the field, court, and track, Baker left a lasting legacy in Central Noble athletics through his outstanding performances in football, basketball, track & field, and golf. A Football Powerhouse Baker was a three-time varsity letter winner in football from 2001 to 2003, earning two All-NECC and two KPC All-Area selections during his career. His contributions helped lead the Cougars to four consecutive NECC championships (2000-2003) and a 2002 IHSAA Sectional Championship. Statistically, Baker’s dominance was undeniable. He amassed 3,097 rushing yards on 226 carries (6.53 yards per carry) and scored 36 touchdowns, totaling 226 career points. His performance in 2003 against Eastside, where he rushed for 313 yards in a single game, remains a school record to this day. Baker ranks second all-time in Central Noble history for career rushing yards, total touchdowns, and total scoring. Excelling Beyond the Gridiron Baker was also a two-time varsity letter winner in basketball (2003, 2004), playing a key role in the 2003 IHSAA Sectional Championship team. On the track, he earned three varsity letters (2001-2003) and was a two-time All-NECC selection. His crowning achievement came in 2002, when he helped to win the NECC season and meet championship and helped lead Central Noble to a sectional championship in the 4x100 relay. In addition to his success in football, basketball, and track, Baker was a varsity letter winner in golf in 2004, showcasing his athletic versatility. A Lasting Legacy Baker’s induction into the Central Noble Athletic Hall of Fame cements his place as one of the school's greatest athletes. His dedication, leadership, and skill across multiple sports continue to serve as an inspiration for current and future Central Noble athletes.
