This coming Friday, February 14th, 2025, Central Noble will be honoring one of its most dedicated educators and coaches, Trevor Tipton, by inducting him into the Central Noble Athletic Hall of Fame at halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game with Lakeland. With an incredible legacy spanning over four decades, Tipton’s contributions to the school’s athletic programs have left a lasting impact on student-athletes and the community alike. A Legacy of Dedication Tipton dedicated 43 years of his life to Central Noble as an educator and 41 years as a coach, shaping the lives of countless students through his passion for sports and mentorship. His career is a testament to perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to excellence in athletics and education. Football Coaching Career Tipton’s football coaching career was nothing short of remarkable. He served as Varsity Head Football Coach for 19 seasons (1990-2009, 2018-2019), leading the team to a 122-111 record. Additionally, he coached the Middle School Football Team for 11 seasons (1983-1989, 2010-2011, 2016-2017), amassing an impressive 64-23-4 record. His influence extended beyond Central Noble, as he later became an assistant coach at East Noble (2020-2023). His leadership saw the Central Noble football program achieve historic milestones, including: 4 NECC Championships (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003) 1 IHSAA Sectional Championship (2002) 2 Undefeated Regular Seasons (2000, 2003) 3 KPC Coach of the Year Awards (1998, 2001, 2003) IFCA North/South All-Star Coach Selection (2003) Contributions to Other Sports Beyond football, Tipton contributed to Central Noble athletics in multiple capacities: Baseball Head Coach for four seasons Middle School Golf Head Coach for three seasons His versatility as a coach demonstrates his deep-rooted commitment to developing young athletes across different sports. A Hall of Fame Career Tipton’s impact on athletics extends beyond Central Noble. His achievements have also been recognized at other institutions, as he is a member of the East Noble High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the Taylor University Athletic Hall of Fame.
