Powerful Pitching Performance From Grace Swank Carries Central Noble Varsity Cougars Past West Noble By GameChanger Media Grace Swank struck out 16 batters as the righty led Central Noble Varsity Cougars past West Noble 16-2 on Tuesday. Swank allowed three hits and two runs over six innings while walking two. Central Noble Varsity Cougars got on the board in the top of the first inning after Katie Forker singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Ahydan Wabika doubled, scoring two runs. Central Noble Varsity Cougars extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI ground outs by Kaitlyn Tilley and Chelsea Fleshman. Swank hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth for the Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Central Noble Varsity Cougars scored six runs on four hits in the top of the sixth inning. Tilley doubled, scoring one run, Fleshman drew a walk, scoring one run, Chloe Adams singled, scoring two runs, Wabika singled, scoring one run, and Gwen Swank grounded out, scoring one run. I Beers took the loss for West Noble. The pitcher went six innings, surrendering 16 runs (11 earned) on 13 hits, striking out one and walking six. Central Noble Varsity Cougars tallied 13 hits in the game. Wabika, the number seven hitter for Central Noble Varsity Cougars, led the way with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-4 on the day. Forker led Central Noble Varsity Cougars with three hits in four at bats. Adams, Swank, and Tilley each collected multiple hits for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Avree Kleeburg paced Central Noble Varsity Cougars with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Central Noble Varsity Cougars were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Wabika made the most plays with 17. B Weigold provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led West Noble with two runs batted in. The infielder went 2-for-3 on the day. West Noble turned one double play in the game.
