Central Noble Varsity Cougars With Tough Game Against Fairfield By GameChanger Media Central Noble Varsity Cougars couldn't keep up with Fairfield and fell 10-4 on Monday. Fairfield opened the scoring in the top of the third thanks to three singles. Fairfield first got on the board when Madison Jones singled, scoring one run. Fairfield scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to left field by P Park. Park earned the win for Fairfield. The pitcher allowed nine hits and three runs (zero earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking four. Grace Swank took the loss for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. The starter went six innings, surrendering 10 runs (eight earned) on 12 hits, striking out 14 and walking three. Central Noble Varsity Cougars tallied 10 hits in the game. Kaitlyn Tilley went 3-for-3 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Chloe Adams and Jennifer Ewell each collected multiple hits for Central Noble Varsity Cougars. Central Noble Varsity Cougars worked the count all day, piling up five walks. Fairfield piled up 12 hits in the game. Number seven hitter, J Fought, showed the depth of Fairfield's lineup, by leading them with three hits in four at bats. Jayna Copen collected two hits for Fairfield in four at bats.
