Lady Cougars Sweep Past Churubusco in Dominant Fashion

The Central Noble girls tennis team turned in an impressive all-around performance, sweeping Churubusco with a 5-0 varsity victory and a strong 4-0 showing from the junior varsity squad. At singles, the Lady Cougars controlled the courts from start to finish. Kayla Kreger led the way at No. 1 singles with a commanding 6-2, 6-0 win over Emily Shew. Whitney Weaver followed suit at No. 2 singles, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory against Charolett Elliot. Abby Pliett completed the singles sweep in dominant fashion, not dropping a game in her 6-0, 6-0 win over Addy Phillips. Doubles play continued the momentum for Central Noble. The No. 1 doubles team of McKynzie Carmien and Anna Scott battled through a competitive second set to secure a 6-2, 7-5 win over MJ Owens and Vanessa Feemster. At No. 2 doubles, Katie Mains and Rheanne Sumagaysay delivered a flawless performance, earning a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Hannah Lauden and Emma Ramsey. The junior varsity squad also had a strong outing, defeating Churubusco 4-0. Addie Perlich picked up an 8-4 win at No. 1 singles, while Mack Lortie added a 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles. In doubles action, Ashley Hernandez Vega and Molly Daniel dominated with an 8-0 win, and Ella Miller and Abby Wallance capped off the night with a 7-5 victory. With the win, Central Noble continues to build momentum as the season progresses, showcasing depth and consistency across the lineup.
